2003 Kawasaki Vulcan on 2040-motos
Kawasaki Vulcan tech info
Kawasaki Vulcan description
I bought this bike used a few years ago. The previous owner had added the performance computer reprogram, custom pipes (not sure on the brand), custom billet handlebars and risers, K+N Ram-Air filter system (I just bought new filters), fish tail exhaust tips, luggage racks, extra bag and fender bars, chrome side covers, along with light visors. I recently installed a new battery, new windshield, red dot rear turn signal lenses, and handlebar mounted clock and thermometer. When I bought the bike, the transmission bevel gear bearing was failing, so the dealer installed a new one (factory flaw on these). I have it serviced every spring by this same dealer, and it is ready to ride with no issues. I am only selling because I just don't ride it often enough. I will include a battery trickle charger, a Clymer repair manual, and a cover for the bike.

Kawasaki Recalls Concours 14 for Rear Brake Problem A Previous Recall Failed to Fix
Fri, 27 Jul 2012Kawasaki is issuing a recall for the Concours 14 for a rear brake pedal issue the company had previously tried to fix in 2008. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, road debris can get trapped between the brake pedal and a pedal guard, causing slight pressure on the rear brakes. The rear brake drag can cause the brakes to overheat, potentially leading to brake damage, a rear brake lockup or failure of the rear brakes.
