2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic, The Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic is a mid-sized motorcycle cruiser made by Kawasaki, first introduced in 2006The cycle follows the formula of a smaller yet capable engine fitted into a one-size up frame. The VN900B is a boulevard-style cruiser, similar in appearance to the Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe or the Fat Boy. It is powered by a liquid cooled 903 cc (55.1 cu in) in V-Twin engine with a five speed transmission. Overall, it measures 97.0 inches (2.46 m) in length, has a wheelbase of 64.8 inches (1.65 m), and possesses a seat height off the ground of 26.8 inches (680 mm). Dry weight is 557 lb (253 kg). It has a 5.3 US gallon tank ( the largest in its class that year), floorboards, front and rear disk brakes, electronic fuel injection, and a belt for the final drive. Up until September 2008, the engine displacement of the Vulcan 900 lineup was the largest in the midsized cruiser game. Upon its unveiling, the press regarded the VN900B favorably. Andrea Antonelli Dies After Moscow World Supersport Crash

Italian racer Andrea Antonelli succombed to injuries suffered in a crash during the World Supersport race at Moscow Raceway in Russia. The Go Eleven Kawasaki racer crashed on the final corner of the opening lap in very wet conditions, and was struck by Pata Honda racer Lorenzo Zanetti. The race was immediately red-flagged and Antonelli was taken away by ambulance while medical staff attempted to resuscitate him, but the 25-year-old was pronounced dead at 2:10 pm local time.

Pirelli To Remain Tire Supplier For All World Superbike Classes Through 2018

Pirelli’s relationship with the World Superbike Championship started in 2004 and will carry on through 2018, as the Italian company will continue to supply tires for every class of the championship.
