Kawasaki Vulcan description

Up for sale is a 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan Classic.  I purchased this bike at TransAm Cycle in Lititz, PA two years ago (2nd owner) and have been extremely pleased with performance.  It has a clean title, regular service and has been garage kept!  Current mileage is slightly under 11K, fresh oil change, and NEW TIRES!!!  We recently purchased another motorcycle and unfortunately - this one has to go.

Several accessories installed since ownership:  Memphis shades quick de-tach windshield, Kuryakun iso grips (black) and throttle boss, Cobra sissybar with chrome backplate, Cobra passenger floor boards, battery tender hook-up, River Road saddlebags, and saddlebag brackets.  Due to improper mounting upon purchase- the aftermarket saddlebags were damaged on right side (see picture).  I had the right side bag fall onto exhaust and slide onto road. There is damage to right side bag but it is functional and still included in the purchase.

This bike is a great ride for all  which includes the beginner, intermediate, and experienced rider.  It sits low and gives you a great feel for cruising.  The classic look offers the rider a great experience without emptying your wallet!  I've also recorded up to 49 mpg and have seen great range on longer rides with friends!  I've taken this bike on camping trips, long rides, and have regularly ridden double with my wife.  Don't miss out - bike is fuel injected, water cooled, and up to date on service!  Great opportunity for all!

Concerns- Bike has small chip in paint on rear fender, saddlebag damaged on right side, and paint rubbed off of rear frame from saddlebags.  See pictures for details!  All concerns are cosmetic, there are no known mechanical issues with this machine.  Tires are new and used for approximately 500-600 miles since installation!  Fluids are fresh since last service date.  PA state inspection up to date until Sept. 2013 - will pass with no issues.

DO NOT MISS YOUR OPPORTUNITY FOR THIS END OF SEASON SALE!!!

2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic

Intro

The 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 is a midsize bike that has the feel of a big cruiser. Because of its smaller-than-it-looks size, the Vulcan 900 is comfortable, roomy, maneuverable at low speeds, and stable at high speeds. The Vulcan is powered by a smooth and torquey 903cc, V-twin engine that provides ample power without making the bike difficult to control. This makes the 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 a great bike for less experienced riders as well as those with some miles behind them. At just 28.6 inches, the Vulcan 900’s seat height is on the low side. This makes it easier to stay in touch with the ground, while folding footboards offer plenty of room for a rider’s feet and further increase the Vulcan’s comfort factor. A nimbly handling cruiser with plenty of power, the 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 is available with a number of attractive extras. While experienced riders may find the Vulcan 900’s stability a little slow-paced, the bike is simply ideal for beginner riders or riders who may just be getting back into motorcycles after taking some time off. Practical and efficient as well as stylish and powerful, the 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 makes a great commuter bike. With its relaxed seating position and ample leg room the Vulcan also makes a great bike for longer trips. With an EPA estimated fuel economy of 45 mpg the Vulcan is economical to operate and available in three colors: Metallic Diablo Black, Candy Plasma Blue, and Candy Diamond Red. A practical but stylish cruiser, the 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 delivers a comfortable big bike experience that’s practical as well as stylish and fun. The bike’s fuel-injected 903cc engine provides great roll-on acceleration and the Vulcan is constructed on a nimble chassis that screams classic cruiser. With ergonomics that arguably lead its class, the 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 also features nice bodywork that includes gracefully lined fenders and a fuel tank accentuated with a polished chrome-accented air cleaner. The modern flair in the Vulcan’s bodywork is balanced by the matte black frame, low-slung seat, and LED taillight. Curved engine fins on the bike’s big V-twin further enhance its classic cruiser look.

The world's best ZX-10R?

Wed, 04 May 2011

I'm taking inspiration from the Paul Bird Kawasaki squad and I'm making a few subtle mods to my 10R to make it look a little more like the WSB machine. I've started by ordering a Leo Vince exhaust. Not sure I can afford those Brembo calipers though...

Watch the Kawasaki J Concept Transform – Video

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

The transforming Kawasaki J Concept was one of the highlights of the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, thanks to its futuristic styling that was like a cross between a Tron Lightcycle and the Batpod from Christopher Nolan‘s Batman trilogy. The electric three-wheeler is unlikely to enter full production, but it is nice to see some outrageous concept models again. The J Concept was primarily produced to showcase Kawasaki‘s GIGACELL high-capacity nickel-metal hydride battery technology, but the most dramatic feature is the concept’s ability to transform.
