EICMA 2011 Preview: MV Agusta Teases Brutale 675 [Video]

MV Agusta has released a video teasing a new Brutale 675 which is expected to be unveiled at next week’s EICMA 2011 show in Milan. The MV Agusta Brutale 675 will be the naked version of the F3, having a similar exhaust as the supersport’s distinctive side-mounted triple pipes. The tail also bears the word “Trepistoni”, Italian for “three pistons”.

2014 WSBK Provisional Entry List – 27 Riders and 9 Manufacturers

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released a provisional entry list for the 2014 World Superbike Championship. The provisional list includes 27 riders riding motorcycles from nine different manufacturers. Of these riders, 12 are riding in the new EVO sub-category which limits engine upgrades and electronics to Superstock class rules.

One-Off Ferrari Tribute Motorcycle Sold for $137,700

A one-off officially-endorsed Ferrari motorcycle has been sold at auction, taking in 85,000 British pounds (US$137,700). That’s a hefty sum for a motorcycle, but far less from the initial reserve price of 180,000 pounds asked for when the bike was first up for auction in 2008. The Ferrari motorcycle was designed and built by former MV Agusta engineer David Kay in 1995 as a tribute to the Italian car-maker’s founder, Enzo Ferrari.
