Moto Guzzi All description

Hello!

In this auction we have a 1973 Moto Guzzi 850T.  This machine starts easily, runs well, and the transmission shifts appropriately with a fully functioning clutch.  It is a five speed and the tach works, but your speedometer does not.  So you will want to replace or rebuild that and, unfortunately, we are not able to determine the mileage.  You will also want to rebuild the front brake.

The generator does charge for this machine and the oil light turns itself off as it should.  Other than the cosmetic condition shown in the photos, the bike runs well despite having minor wiring issues (the switch gear on the handlebars needs attention and the starter relay doesn't work properly).  It has a nice set of Borrani alloy rims and comes with a NOS seat that would need a little attention where the upholstery has became loose.  There's also a seat pan you could use if you want to make this into a cafe racer.

Overall, the bike is in solid running shape with no broken fins on the motor.  You could easily dress this up as a cafe racer or make it a rat bike if you didn't want to do a full restoration.  Please see the photos for further details and the video of it starting here and running here.

Shipping, payment, returns --

Shipping is to be arranged by the buyer. You can have a freight company pick it up or you can pick it up in person. Other options will need to be discussed ahead of time. I will accept bids from people outside of the United States. I require a non-refundable Paypal deposit of $200 within 48 hours of the close of the auction. If you bid on this, please be serious about your intention to buy.

Bidders with less than 10 feedback will need to call me before bidding. I have had too many bidders with low feedback scores back out of purchases and it has hindered my ability to sell these bikes.

Bidders with a history of bid retractions will also need to call me before bidding. I've been on eBay for over a decade now without having a need to retract a bid. If you have questions about the reserve, I will be glad to help you. If you have second thoughts about your commitment to buy -- you shouldn't have bid in the first place.

Failure to comply with the two requests made above can result in your bid being cancelled and you will be blocked from bidding on future auctions. No hard feelings -- we just can't do business with you.The final payment will be accepted as cash upon pickup or through a verified payment method. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions prior to bidding.

Since we are dealing with vintage motorcycles, you are purchasing the bike as is with no warranty and no returns accepted at this time. Please see my feedback, however, and feel comfortable that you are getting what you are being shown as it was described.

Buyers in Indonesia, or in countries where importing motorcycles or parts is forbidden or likely to be held up in customs/etc, please have an agent in the United States who can handle the shipment and transport. Once again, contact me with any questions you have.

Again, and I cannot stress this enough, if you have any questions or concerns prior to bidding please feel free to ask and I will contact you as soon as possible. You may reach me by phone at 740.547.6567.  I'm happy to take the time to try to help you and communication can make the transaction much easier for everyone. Thank you for your attention!

New Moto Guzzi Microwebsite a One-stop Portal for Guzzi Fans Old and New

Guzzis aren’t for everyone, and Guzzisti are quite okay with that fact. While Moto Guzzi recognizes the dedication of Guzzi devotees, it also recognizes that it needs to grow the brand. Moto Guzzi USA, the North American importer of the Moto Guzzi brand, has announced a new “micro” site for Guzzis. The site, www.motoguzzioriginals.com, is part eye candy (actually, it’s very eye candy), part history, part marketing tool.
