Offered for sale 2012 Moto Guzzi 1200GT 8v ABS.Great motorcycle that is a characterized by it's blend of Comfort,Power and Handling.This motorcycle has acculmulated 20,905 miles mostly on multi state tours with many of those riding days700 mile+ per day.This bike is well sorted with no issues.Starts,idles perfectly,accelerates like a vexed banshee,maintains a smooth cruise at any speed you and the State Troopers are comfortable with.Drive train such as clutch,transmission rear drive function perfectly and have been meticulously maintained.Never abused but enjoyed as a MotoGuzzi should be.This bike has been enhanced with the full GuzziTech Gt/Rx fueling package which consists of reflashed ECU,Power CommanderV and Auto Tune.It has been Dyno Tuned at MSR Performance in Wichita,Ks.Documented 90.5+ RWHP.Great torque curve from bottom to top.Bike had full service at 16K which included Valve adjust,Throttle Synch checked,new Dunlop RoadSmart2 tires,fluids changed :engine/filter,transmission,rear drive,brake and clutch.Tires closing in on 5k but look to have 50-60% left.Needs nothing, ready to roll but I will change engine oil/filter and check valve adjustment before change of ownership.On going restoration projects and several other bikes have pushed my decision to thin the stable and give another a chance to enjoy this great bike. Ewan McGregor Donates Bike to Charity

Actor Ewan McGregor has introduced traveling long distances on motorcycles to the mainstream with the “Long Way Down” series. He is now trying to give UNICEF just as much exposure by donating one of his prized motorcycles to help raise money for the charity. “I’m donating my Moto Guzzi California motorcycle,” says McGregor, a UNICEF ambassador.

Piaggio Reports Q1 2012 Results

Increased scooter sales offset a drop in motorcycle sales, but both segments reported increases in net sales for the Piaggio Group in the first quarter of 2012. According to Piaggio‘s first quarter report, the Group sold 9,400 motorcycles worldwide, down 8.2% from the 10,300 units sold in the same quarter last year. Scooter sales however saw a 7.9% increase to 79,200 units from 73,400 units.

Back in March, Piaggio Vice President of design Miguel Galluzzi revealed the Italian firm would release several versions of the new Moto Guzzi California 1400 including a full touring version. We’ve seen photographs of the new California in prototype form from Piaggio‘s North American dealer meeting, but we’ve now come across a picture of what looks like the final production version in full touring trim. The picture, appears to have been leaked from an official catalog photoshoot, shows the new Moto Guzzi California 1400 with hard bags, engine bars, extra lighting and windscreen.
