Moto Guzzi V7 Sport description

Up for sale is a numbers matching 1973 Moto Guzzi V7 Sport with 36,244 miles.  The build date is Dec 1972, its a Series 2 with "4" stamped on transmission.  The gear shift lever is on the right side and the front brake is twin shoe drum, so it is a very early V7 Sport. VIN # VK32365. 

The paint on the tank, tool boxes, and frame is original. Rubber grips, foot rests and chrome plating are original.  Also comes with original cloth bag tool kit with tools and owners manual. The only non original parts are recovered seat, Valeo starter, horns, electronic ignition and K&N filters replacing the filter box. There is small weld on the frame.  The bike has always been garaged and it shows in the appearance.

All electronics are in working order.  Recently replaced battery.   

The bike is located in San Mateo, CA with a clean title, current CA registration and can be viewed in person.  I am the third owner as of 31,274 miles. $500 deposit via PayPal is due within 48-hours and remainder is due via cash, cashier's check or bank transfer within 10 days.  I can store the bike for a reasonable amount of time.  If shipping, funds must clear before the bike is released to your shipper and the title will be sent separately with signature required.

Piaggio Reports Q2 2013 Results

The Piaggio Group reported a 12.1% decrease in net sales over the opening six months of 2013, the company’s worst first half showing since 2004. Net sales totaled 671.5 million euros (US$891.9 million) over the first six months, compared to 764.1 million euros reported in the same period of 2012. Piaggio still earned a net profit of 25 million euros (US$33.2 million ) in the first half, but that’s a 26.1% drop from last year’s 33.8 million euros.

The Piaggio Group reported a 4.8% drop in motorcycle and scooter sales over the first half of 2012 thanks to the continuing struggles of the European economy. The Piaggio Group includes the brands Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa. According to the company’s second quarter report, the Piaggio Group sold 216,700 motorcycles and scooters in the first half of 2012, compared to 227,700 units in 2011.
