Norton Commando description

Beautiful 750 Commando in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition.  I purchased it 6 months ago but have run into financial difficulties and unfortunately must let this baby go. Professionally restored in 2010 and ridden very little.  The former owner was a collector who had it on display in his house.  The steel tank and side cover paint was a little dull from sitting so I had it professionally repainted and as the pics attest, it is beautiful.  Included is a folder with complete history of restoration, all work done and parts replaced.  Always starts first kick hot or cold if correct procedure is followed.  Below is the former owner's description of the bike and its build.  The pics are current, taken today, but the photographs in the last two pictures were taken during the restoration in 2010 and are included to show the work that went into this build.  Pay Pal deposit of $300 required immediately at end of auction.  Balance due by wire transfer or cash in person within 5 days of auction end.  Buyer responsible for all shipping arrangements.  Bidders welcome to inspect bike before bidding and I'm open to reasonable offers.  I will assist transporter in loading of bike if necessary from my home address.

Former owner's description is as follows;

Up for sale from our collection of investment quality British classic motorcycles is this extremely well sorted Norton 750 Commando. This bike was comprehensively restored in 2010 by famed  Ft. Lauderdale British Bike expert Wes Scott. No detail was overlooked and no expense was spared. At that time the bike had 13365 miles on it. Prior to that the engine was rebuilt by Dale's Cycle in Walworth WI.  The rebuild included new pistons, super blend bearings, electronic ignition, new coils and much more. In Wes Scott's shop the bike was gone through from stem to stern to make sure that absolutely everything was spot on. New Amal 930 carbs were installed. There is a binder that goes with the bike that details every last cent that went into the complete restoration. Many thousands of $ were spent and nothing was overlooked. Powdercoating was done to the main frame, swing arm, center stand, rear brake plate, battery box, oil tank, tail light, and other miscellaneous braces, clamps and mounting hardware by House of Powder in Standard, IL.  Chrome plating was done to the brake pedal, chain guard, headlight brackets, shifter, and fuel cap, misc. brackets, nuts & bolts etc. The front brake has been upgraded to a high performance modification provided by Andover Norton International of Southampton UK.  There is an inline antidrain valve installed to prevent sumping when the bike has been parked for awhile. The gauges have been rebuilt, cables are new, wiring harnesses replaced, virtually everything conceivable has been done to make this bike better than new. The header pipes have received an aluminized coating that allows them to run cooler and keeps them from bluing. No detail was overlooked in the restoration process. The bike now has less than 1000 miles since all this work was done so it is ready to be ridden and enjoyed by a new Norton afficionado at a fraction of the money spent getting it to this point. It starts, runs, and rides great, so it is not meant to be a trailer queen.
The DNA and the soul of the original bike have remained intact but almost every internal part has been changed or upgraded. The engine is original but has been completely gone through with new pistons, super blend bearings, new carbs, electronic ignition and so forth. The chassis is original but has been completely disassembled and powder coated. The front brakes are upgraded to a Norton performance setup. The seat and the tank have been replaced. The exhaust headers have been coated to run cooler. Parts have been sourced from all over, many from Baxter Cycle. Basically every nut, bolt and circlip has been replaced. We feel that the bike has been restored to better than new condition. There is a complete packet of receipts for all parts and work plus instructions for care and feeding of all systems.

I will include a new set of chrome header pipes in case the aluminized headers aren't your taste.  The pipes on the bike are fine but if chrome pipes are your preference, you'll have a set.

Any questions feel free to email me or call 5207956049 and I'll answer as best as I can.

*just a note--I sold a beautiful Triumph to an individual in California and he threatened me with negative feedback if I didn't write him a bill of sale for $100 instead of the true selling price of $6600.  He wanted to illegally avoid paying the California sales tax and I refused to accommodate him and instead included a notarized sales receipt for the true price.  He gave me negative feedback saying I was hard to work with and that I threatened him, both lies, thus the one negative feedback you will see if you check my feedback page.
