CLASSIFIED MOTO "FREE RANGE" XV920

I am reluctantly parting with my custom built XV920 from Classified Moto in order to pursue a business opportunity (purchasing a building). This is your chance to bid on a ONE-OF-A-KIND bike built by one of the top shops in the nation, Classified Moto (www.classifiedmoto.com).

Classified Moto has been featured on Velocity's "Cafe Racer" series and has been featured on numerous sites, such as BikeEXIF, Silodrome, and more. John Ryland's shop has built bikes for Katee Sackoff from Battlestar Galactica and most recently, Norman Reedus's bike on The Walking Dead. This bike was actually the inspiration for Darryl's bike.

Here is the description from the Classified Moto website...

Our love affair with the admittedly uncool Yamaha XV has come to an amicable end. I don’t see us buying up any more of them for Classification, but the last few in the line have been kind of a blast. Like this one. Built for Kristian Niemi — an amazing chef and owner of BOURBON (bourboncolumbia.com) and ROSSO TRATTORIA (rossocolumbia.com) in Columbia, South Carolina, the old 920R got the Level 3 treatment and is ready for adventures on or off the road. We took our standard front end swap a step further and fitted spoked supermoto wheels front and rear. The stock XV swing arm is retained, but we upgraded to a tasty Progressive Suspension 465 shock with Remote Adjustable Preload. Some chunky tires, a cool old leather seat and a repurposed cargo basket complete the vibe. Look for Kristian running his culinary errands on this beast down south.

I have only had the bike for a year and haven't had time to ride it as much as I had hoped. I have simply been busy with my business and it doesn't look as if that is going to change any time soon.

This is a sweet-riding machine and sounds fantastic. It's been bullet-proof in the few miles I've put on it (just shy of 1000).

If it doesn't sell, I won't be heart-broken, but I would like to see it go to a good home, so the reserve is set lower than what it would be to commission the same bike from Classified Moto. It is currently insured for $26,000 based on the invoice from Classified Moto.
