Dropped Suzuki Dealerships Represented Only 2.5% of Retail Sales

American Suzuki raised some eyebrows after news broke yesterday the company was cancelling franchise agreements with numerous dealerships in the U.S. The company was already under close scrutiny after making the bold decision to quit selling cars to focus on powersports when it filed for Chapter 11 in November. Reducing its dealer network appears to go against that idea, at least on the surface.

2014 WSBK – Donington Results

Tom Sykes and Loris Baz captured a pair of one-two finishes for Kawasaki at England’s Donington Park. The first race saw the reigning World Superbike champion fight his way up from 11th place for the win while Race 2 offered a three-way battle between the two Kawasaki riders and Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli. 2013 Yoshimura Limited Edition GSX-Rs

A recent visit to the Yoshimura facility in Chino, CA, provided us an in-person peak at the company’s 2013 limited edition GSX-R. The burgundy red and black with metal flake and gold pin striping color scheme is both striking and sophisticated while subtle details such as the Yoshimura radiator stencil heighten its visual appeal. And these bikes are seriously limited – only 45 examples will be produced. Introduced last year Yoshimura says the response from Suzuki dealers and consumers alike has been nothing short of phenomenal. The 45 bikes produced this year will be a combination of 600, 750 and 1000cc models and the mix determined by dealer demand.
