Suzuki GSX-R description

If you are looking at this auction, chances are you know what makes this 1985 Suzuki GSXR 750 special. It is a grey market import and the United States did not get the mighty GSXR until 1986, unlike the rest of the world that got it in 1985. This bike came from Japan and has the correct GR71F vin to confirm that. 1985 GSXRs have a few different things, such as the vents in the top of the side fairings, the two piece seat, and three gauge cluster among other differences. I originally went through the headache and process of getting this bike here and titled to restore it but my situation has changed and I no longer will be able to.

Currently this bike is not running, and I have never had it running. I was told it was a good running bike and I have spun the engine with the battery cables hooked to a jumper box. It is not a pristine showroom bike and the bodywork does have some bumps and bruises, along with the left side fairings being secured with random non-original bolts. The exhaust is also what appears to be a unknown muffler that was welded onto part of the original header. The bike does go into all gears and with power all of the lights work on it with the exception of the missing turn signals. I am confident that with some fresh fuel, a battery, and maybe a carb clean this bike will run. The bike has 34,555 km (21,271 miles) on it.

This is a great chance to own a rare bike that has already had the difficult parts taken care of. It is fully US legal and I have a clean/clear title in my name in hand. You will absolutely never see another one at the local bike night! I can assist with shipping, and can possibly make a deal to deliver the bike depending on your location as well. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions and I will do my best to help you.

2014 AMA Supercross – San Diego Results

Mon, 10 Feb 2014

James Stewart captured his first AMA Supercross win of the season, leading all 20 laps before a crowd of 56,828 fans at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, Calif. The Yoshimura Suzuki rider becomes the fourth different winner of  the season in the 450 class through six rounds. The news was less positive for last week’s winner Chad Reed.

2013 AIMExpo: Suzuki Unveils GW250

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

Suzuki unveiled a new lightweight naked standard motorcycle at the 2013 American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) – the GW250. Powered by a 248cc liquid cooled in-line twin-cylinder engine, the GW250 would seem an ideal choice for newcomers not interested in sportbikes like the Honda CBR250R and Kawasaki Ninja 300. Editor-in-Chief Kevin Duke had a chance to ride the newest Suzuki and will be providing a review in the coming days.

AMA Supercross: 2012 New Orleans Results

Mon, 16 Apr 2012

Ryan Villopoto has already secured the 2012 AMA Supercross Championship but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to let up and take it easy over the remainder of the season. The Monster Energy Kawasaki racer clinched his second consecutive title two weeks ago in Houston, Texas, but he continued his dominance in AMA Supercross’ return to New Orleans’ Superdome, taking the holeshot and leading all 20 laps for his ninth win of the season in 14 rounds. The New Orleans round may have lacked some big names currently nursing injuries such as Ryan Dungey, James Stewart and Chad Reed, but Villopoto provided a star effort in the first AMA Supercross race in the city since 2009.
