This Hayabusa is complete with an installed DaVinci turbo kit, making an astounding 278rwhp with only 62 mis on the odometer. This bike has never been laid down, abused, and has always been garage kept. Never seen rain and always protected when worked on. Additionally, a custom Suzuki GSX-R1000 tail section was installed to replace the larger Hayabusa tail section. The upgraded tail section included all new OEM Suzuki parts and alone cost over $2,000. Along with the DT turbo kit and tail section, a Roaring Toyz black swingarm extension, 530 chain, extended brake line, lowering links, and air shifter were installed to help put the power down. WSBK 2013: Jerez Race Report

Eugene Laverty did everything he could, scoring a pair of race wins but it was not enough as Tom Sykes rode smartly and conservatively at the season finale in Spain, securing his first ever World Superbike Championship. Sykes landed in Jerez with a 37-point lead over Laverty and a 38-point lead over Sylvain Guintoli. While Laverty battled Marco Melandri to win Race One, Sykes coasted comfortably in third for most of the race to score 16 points, enough to clinch the title.

It was supposed to be a weekend of celebration. The World Superbike Championship was celebrating its 25th anniversary of racing at Italy’s Monza circuit. Promoters Infront Motorsports brought out 30 landmark Superbikes from the series’ history, while greats such as Fred Merkel, Doug Polen and Carl Fogarty were in attendance for what was supposed to be a weekend to remember.
