Suzuki Other description

This is a low mileage 1969 Suzuki T500 twin cylinder twin. It has good compression. It is missing the carbs and left side cover. This bike has many good parts to help with restoration of another bike or to work on this one. However, over the years the title has been misplaced for this bike. I am asking $1050.00 or best offer. If you would like to part one out there is over $2,000 worth of parts on this bike. There is a 1968 T500 on Ebay currently bid to over $6,000. This will be a no reserve 3 day auction. There is no warranty expressed or implied on this bike. I ask for a $300 Paypal deposit at auction end with the balance in cash upon pickup. Any questions please give me a call--I welcome anyone to come and take a look before bidding. Thanks, Tom 309-531-2877

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.

Max Biaggi loses the plot . . and very nearly his teeth !

Tue, 29 Mar 2011

I’ve just got back from Donington Park and the second round of the World Superbike championship. The racing was exciting, going off without a hitch, and the weather was unseasonably kind, but the meeting will be remembered by those in the fairly close knit WSB paddock for reasons other than the temperature or the race results. It’ll be remembered by most, especially those who witnessed it, as the meeting where Max Biaggi finally lost his already feeble grip on reality.
