Suzuki Other description

Are you ready for Patagonia?  This bike is!  Truly a beast of burden that you can easily live off of as you travel the world. Well set up and maintained adventure bike, owned from 600 miles since 2008 by a well known and respected world traveler, active in the vintage & modern racing community and various enthusiast groups.  He set this bike up with all the accessories that you see in these photos.  The bike was only driven in North America and left in various locations for him to return to when it was time to move on. It's a beautiful bike with only a couple of small cracks on the tank fairing (fixable with plastic weld) and a scuff on the left hand crash bar from a tip over. I'm going to let my photos do the talking so please study them carefully.  Feel free to call or text 530-902-1670 with any questions.

This bike represents terrific value because of all the included aftermarket upgrades; Givi top box/back rest and side boxes. (Backrest inside top box.), Adjustable windshield, Throttle lock, Famsa tank bag with removable side bags. Speed Healer located under the seat (for adjusting speedo when changing sprockets.), Crash bars and forward foot pegs, Kisan Signal Minder self-canceling turn signals. Piaa Driving lights, Alloy sump & radiator guard, Handlebar risers and various electrical outlets & pigtails.  In addition all scheduled maintenance has been carried out including new chain and sprockets 2000 miles ago and an oil & filter change 1000 miles ago. Not sure if the seat is OEM?  but I find it extremely comfortable for all day rides.

Good luck bidding. This is a tremendous price representing quite a lot of motorbike for very little money.  I'm betting it will sell fast.

Knee-high land-speed record device

Wed, 28 Jul 2010

This mad looking motorcycle is a land speed record device that never turned a wheel in anger. It was built by the infamous Dave Manning in 1968 using a discarded drop tank from a Korean fighter plane. Manning built a space-frame chassis inside the tiny teardrop and also managed to find room for a Suzuki T500 twin cylinder two-stroke motor.
