Suzuki RM-Z description

2011 Suzuki RM-Z250, VERY NICE, MUST CHECK THIS ONE OUT... - For 2011 Suzuki has taken its potent RM-Z250, and have fine-tuned it into an even more capable machine. The 2011 RM-Z has seen numerous updates: It now meets a stricter AMA noise limit (94 decibel) while maintaining smooth engine output; the intake and exhaust timing has been changed for better engine feeling with lower noise output; the exhaust pipe length has been changed for better engine feeling with lower noise; ECU settings have been updated for more linear acceleration and improved over-rev; and the radiator hose routing has been changed for more efficient cooling. In addition, Suzuki has focused on improving operation and overall feeling (primarily in shifting and starting). The 2011 RM-Z250 features improved lubrication on the center of the clutch and counter shaft for better durability and improved clutch feel; an updated transmission (focusing on third and fourth gear) provides improved durability; and the kick starting arm has been redesigned for improved starting. And to cap off an already impressive ride, Suzuki has focused on providing easier maintenance features on the 2011 RM-Z250 as well. Updated wiring harness routing and a convenient fuel line cap for regular maintenance are two new features. Suzuki racing technology is everywhere you look on the 2011 RM-Z250: The 249 cubic centimeter engine utilizes advanced Suzuki fuel injection, and when combined with the twin-spar aluminum frame and class-leading Showa suspension components, you get the perfect weapon for motocross racers worldwide. And there’s also the eye-catching slim, aggressive styling that causes the RM-Z250 to stand out at any track.

Last weekend's Superstock 1000 race at Donington British Superbikes was a belter. PJ Jacobsen, all the way of the USA, was riding the Tyco Suzuki and took the fight to former Superstock 600 champion and TT racer Lee Johnston. The duo cleared off from the rest of the pack.

James Stewart Splits From JGRMX, Signs with Yoshimura Suzuki

Mon, 07 May 2012

James Stewart and the Joe Gibbs Racing MX (JGRMX) Yamaha racing team have agreed to cut ties, ending their multi-year contract after a single AMA Supercross season. Stewart almost immediately signed a new multi-year deal with Yoshimura Suzuki to compete in both the AMA Supercross and AMA Motocross Championships. Stewart had a promising start to the season with JGRMX but wasn’t as competitive as eventual champion Ryan Villopoto or Ryan Dungey.

Old boys up front and where are the new 600 Gixers?

As I’ve been gagging for the new race season to kick off so it was almost a pleasure getting up at stupid 0 clock to watch the World Superbike Championship  opener at Phillip Island last weekend. I have to say Messrs Burnicle and Whitham were on form although I was disappointed there were none of the usual verbal attacks on each other that always add to the entertainment.    I’m sure they will put things right soon but the world superbike regulars must have been disheartened that Moto GP veterans nailed five of the six available rostrum slots.
