Suzuki SV description

IMPORTANT: Buyer to arrange and pay for pick up/shipping. Please use zip 87505 in mapquest or a similar program to determine your mileage to 87505.

I just put this bike together and was going to do track days but decided on a different toy. I put about 1 mile on bike after all this work just to make sure it ran. Freshly painted dark red metallic, fresh Dunlop Q2s (dual compound), full Micron exhaust (header section is wrapped with header wrap), frame sliders, swingarm spools, new chain and sprockets, battery, spark plugs, rims just painted (silver), new folding shift lever, new brake pads, fresh engine coolant (Engine Ice), forks rebuilt, new bushings, Progressive fork springs, seals and fluid. The carbs (not bike) are from a guy who put a Stage 7 jet kit (with individual K&N air filters) in them and was using them for track days so they're not running perfectly below 3500 but run great in the upper RPM range. Could use some fine tuning for street riding. Also it needs a headlight (not currently mounted) for street riding. Horn, tail light, and gauges all work fine. The Micron muffler has some scratches, scuffs. I'd probably change it to a shorty but it sounds good and works as is. There is about $1000 of extras: two motors, gas tank, seat, sub-frame, levers, side stand, carburetors, jetting kit, gauges (2), set of brake calipers with steel braided lines (used), throttle and clutch cables, handlebar switches, full wiring harness with CDI/brain, petcock, one right handlebar, shop manual, 2 triple trees, 2006 ZX6R rear shock (popular mod, but not installed), etc... The headlight in the photo with the red shield is included but is only mocked-on for the photo, it isn't mounted properly. The photo with no headlight is how the bike sits. Clean NM title in my name.

I just got this bike together and have only put 2 miles on it around the neighborhood so I do not recommend riding it home for any distance without a proper tune up/jetting beforehand.

Motorcyclist Nabbed For Going 166 MPH on NY Thruway

Fri, 04 May 2012

McCarthy’s wit isn’t as quick as his motorcycle. “A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.” (Proverbs 12:23 KJV)   According to reports, New York State Police arrested Nikkolaus McCarthy, 25, of Charlton, N.Y., this past Wednesday afternoon after he was “clocked” riding his motorcycle at 166 mph on the New York State Thruway in Ravena, N.Y. But it seems McCarthy needs to learn the simple concept of avoiding self-incrimination.

Natural Habitats

Sat, 26 Jan 2013

SAM Christmas has been a professional photographer for the last 3 years and is the man behind Natural Habitats, a collection of photos covering the growing UK custom scene, showing bikes and their builders at home.    Sam's clients include the likes of Honda, Dainese, Google, Polo Jeans and Edwin denim but Natural Habitats is a personal project that took one and a half years to complete. I got to meet Sam when the exhibition opened in Shoreditch on Thursday evening.

Old boys and proper bikes at the Spa Classic 2012.

Mon, 09 Jul 2012

If you miss seeing factory two stroke racing machinery being ridden properly then you should consider a trip to the Spa classic event in 2013. I was the lucky recipient of an invitation to ride there last week and had a blast riding some tasty kit from the past. I went well at Spa in 250cc GPs  but the circuit scared me on the 500s.
