Triumph All description

I purchased three motorcycles from an elderly friend recently. This 1955 pre-unit Triumph T110 and a 1971 Norton Commando and a 1979 Yamaha SR500. The Norton and Yamaha will be listed on separate auctions. This Triumph is numbers matching and has been partially restored. It has a fresh bore, new pistons and rings, fresh valve job, and great compression. It also has a Sportster front end with 21" Sportster front wheel. The rear wheel is a Harley 16" rim laced to a unit Triumph rear hub. Tires are new. The carbs are nice concentric Amals and complete. The magneto is all there. The primary was apart in preparation for a belt drive conversion, but inner and outer primaries are there and are nice. It has new header pipes. These factory hardtails are getting hard to find. This one is numbers matching and has a clear Kansas title ready for transfer. This would be a great foundation for a mild custom bobber or chopper. It is a great little bike that would be easy to finish and is highly collectible. It is being sold with no reserve! I can help load on to your shipper. Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for shipping. Bike must be paid for in full within 7 days. PayPal is fine. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!

I thought that I would add that I will consider a trade for a Sportster.

Prince William The Duke Of Ducs And Other Motorcycles

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, visited Britain’s largest motorcycle show, Motorcycle Live, at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham. The visit saw the Duke astride numerous motorcycle models including UK icons Norton and Triumph as well as a Ducati 1199 Superleggera (one of the few men able to afford the $70,000 rarity). During his visit Prince William enjoyed a display of off-road riding – one of nine opportunities for visitors to ride at Motorcycle Live, eight of which are inside the halls of the NEC. He also met Dean Linehan, exhibitions director of MCI Exhibitions, the company that organizes the annual motorcycle exhibition.

Classic Off-Road Bikes Featured in Braving Baja: 1,000 Miles to Glory Exhibition

Sat, 06 Apr 2013

Back in the 60s, American Honda tested the durability of its motorcycles by sending a CL72 Scrambler on a 950-mile trek through rocks, sand washes, dry lake beds, mountain passes and paved roads. Fifty years later, that legendary run is remembered for inspiring one of the most significant off-road races in the world—the Baja 1000. In celebration, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is hosting a tribute dinner, one-day off road show, and summer-long exhibition called Braving Baja, 1,000 Miles to Glory.
