1976 Triumph Bonneville on 2040-motos

Triumph Bonneville description
A very nice example of an original machine. I have owned this bike for about 26 years. Original paint, numbers on frame match the numbers on the engine, ignition keys have "Made in Great Britian" relieved into them. Bike has 11,488 miles on it. Starts easily; tickle the carbs,
a couple of kicks on the starter and she lights most every time. New tires, Goodyear Macadam sport tires, rebuild of both front and rear brakes, new rear master cylinder, new battery (have not put acid in it yet, but I used my security system battery and she fired up as expected. Engine runs like a clock, all 5 gears work smoothly. All lights work as they should, turn signals included. The only flaws, if you could call it that, is the rear rail which holds the rear signals has had a repair where the signal goes through the gusset. I have been told that is rather common. I have a much nicer rail that I will include. Also, the red "kill" button, which is not a button but a flat lever switch which a small piece of broke off. The kill button works fine, but if you intend to show this bike a new kill button should be installed. All in all you will be hard pressed to find another original in this good of shape. If you have questions, my phone # is 703.472.6886. Thank you for your time |

2013 Triumph Tiger Sport Announced
Thu, 10 Jan 2013Triumph revealed a new version of its 1050cc Tiger named the Tiger Sport. Triumph currently lists this new Tiger Sport beside its Tiger 1050 on the Triumph website’s 2013 offerings but the new model appears to be a replacement for the previous model which has been relatively unchanged since its introduction in 2007. Officially unveiled at the Brussels Motor Show, the 2013 Triumph Tiger Sport receives new body panels, tail and windscreen but perhaps the most notable design change is the new single-sided swingarm which better shows off the black cast aluminum alloy multi-spoke rear wheel.
Craig Vetter Grand Marshall for 2012 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days
Tue, 22 May 2012PICKERINGTON, Ohio — AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame member and noted designer Craig Vetter — whose contributions to motorcycling range from the iconic Windjammer fairings and the Triumph X-75 Hurricane to the Mystery Ship limited-production high-performance motorcycles and a number of high-profile motorcycle fuel-economy contests — will be honored as this year’s grand marshal at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days featuring Rockers and Mods, July 20-22, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Vetter has been a member of the American Motorcyclist Association and a designer since 1965, and his varied background gives him a unique alliance to both the Rockers and Mods motorcycle subcultures. His design projects over the years have involved café racers — the motorcycles of choice for Rockers — and scooters, which are favored by Mods.
