Triumph Bonneville tech info
Triumph Bonneville description
1982 Triumph 750 Bonneville 8 valve motor, Triumphs best and one of 125 imported out of 250 made before they folded. A real survivor that after long storage has just been refurbished with brakes, front forks ,fork boots, Bing carburettors overhaul. Also fitted with new Metzeler tires and heavy duty battery. Everything on her works including the electric starter. Basically a real nice bike almost new with 4875 miles ready for summer fun. Seat is a bit worn from storage but have a brand new British seat cover ready to install. Left muffler has a small scrape at the tip but being the original and now unobtainium I would leave it as is, still better then an incorrect Taiwan copy. Title for the bike is from New Mexico ready for assignment to new owner. For shipping overseas try USACINTL typical price is $800 to England, for domestic shipping Haul Bikes is offering $400 cross country. Rain Forces Triumph Castrol Rocket Team To Look To Bonneville 2015
Tue, 30 Sep 2014The past two weekends have produced more than three inches of rain and sad news for Bonneville land speed racing fans.Triumph has released it official statement regarding the announcement by Mike Cook’s Bonneville Shootout that the course will not be ready for its Triumph Castrol Rocket streamliner and others to make a 2014 FIM legal attempt at 400mph. This is not what you want to see the week before racing on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Photo courtesy Mike Cook’s Bonneville Shootout (landspeedevents.com) Mike Cook’s Bonneville Shootout streamliner runs were rescheduled for this weekend, October 4–5, after wet conditions earlier in the month prevented the runs on the long course required to run at these speeds.
Looking after number 1
Fri, 06 Jan 2012There was a time when a rider’s number indicated his position from the previous season, with the ultimate accolade being the number 1 emblazoned on the front of the champion's bike. The rise of branding in MotoGP and a rider wanting to market themselves, born from Barry Sheene and his retention of no.7, saw riders decide against displaying their finish from the year before. Rossi, who on winning his numerous championships, stuck with his famous #46 in defence of his titles, instead of stamping a great number 1 on his bikes.
