Triumph Bonneville description

2013 Triumph Bonneville Two Tone, FREE 3-YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY! 2013 Triumph Bonneville Two Tone The most famous name in motorcycling. A legend. Over 50 years of engineering excellence. A thoroughly modern interpretation of the authentic 'proper' motorcycle. This iconic symbol of rebellion and independence is even more appealing now thanks to its modern specification, low seat, clean fuel-injected 865cc engine and lightweight 17 inch alloys for even sharper handling. Stirs the heart, not the wallet. The name and look may be traditional, but don t for one second think that the Bonneville is old-fashioned. At the heart is a modern 865cc parallel-twin engine that s fuel-injected for easy starting, sweet running and compliance to even the strictest modern emissions regulations. You ll have to look twice though, as traditional carburettor bodies are used to disguise the throttle bodies. Keeping it all in check is a modern chassis that provides sweet handling and stunning agility, thanks in no small part to those 17 alloy wheels, while the low seat height makes the Bonneville manageable and unintimidating for riders of all ages and experience. A wide range of accessories are also available for the Bonneville, allowing riders to personalise the Bonneville to meet their specific needs. Features Looks Bonneville. Reinvented. Timeless, classic looks. Engine 865cc air-cooled DOHC parallel twin 360 degree firing interval. Bags of character. Handling Low centre of gravity. Accessible low 29.1 inch seat height. 17 inch alloy wheels all make for great easy handling. Sound Authentic and stylish megaphone silencers recall an era of gentlemen racers.

Single sided chain adjustment

Wed, 14 Apr 2010

We don’t get the manuals with our long term bikes and I didn’t want swallow my pride and ask triumph how to adjust the chain on the Speed Triple. For the life of me I couldn’t figure it out. The single side swing arm with centrally mounted disk is a work of art but how the hell you are supposed to adjust the thing?

New Triumph Touring Bike Spied!

Fri, 03 Dec 2010

The lucrative touring segment will soon get a jolt when Triumph enters the market with a flourish. Spy photos from England’s Motor Cycle News show what looks to be a replacement for the Trophy touring model that bit the dust back in 2003. The bike is much larger than Triumph’s Sprint GT sport-tourer, promising a bigger, more powerful three-cylinder engine.

Watch: 2011 Speed Triple Dyno run

Tue, 05 Apr 2011

With the full factory fitted arrow system and map fitted it was time to give the Speed a run on a Dyno to see where the power is at. Over two runs the best results were as follows; Power at the crank : 130bhp & 75 ft.lbs torque Power at the gearbox : 124bhp & 72 ft.lbs torque Power at the wheel : 119bhp & 69 ft.lbs torque The bike has covered 4200 miles and is due its first proper service at 6000 so you would expect to see a reduction in power. Triumph claim on a brand new bike the Speed Triple at best puts out 135bhp and 82 ft.lbs torque at the crank with the cans fitted, effectively mine has lost 5bhp and 7ft.lbs of torque.
