Triumph Daytona description

1999 Triumph Daytona 955i, Like New Daytona! - New tires, just had the 12k mile service, this Daytona is as good as new. You dont find them in this shape very often. Grab it while you can! The Daytona 955i is further refined for 1999 with improvements to both chassis and engine. Acceleration is enhanced for 1999 through a modified exhaust camshaft giving increased performance across the rev range. Revised air bypass and throttle body assemblies give a sharp, progressive throttle response. Confidence inspiring from the awesome brakes to the inch perfect handling. Refined to perfection by the inclusion of a revised rear suspension unit. Improved ground clearance provided by the more compact exhaust header system. Stunning looks underlined by the unique oval sectioned aluminum frame, which, by using the engine as a structural member weighs a mere 12kg - one of the lightest frames around.

Classic Off-Road Bikes Featured in Braving Baja: 1,000 Miles to Glory Exhibition

Sat, 06 Apr 2013

Back in the 60s, American Honda tested the durability of its motorcycles by sending a CL72 Scrambler on a 950-mile trek through rocks, sand washes, dry lake beds, mountain passes and paved roads. Fifty years later, that legendary run is remembered for inspiring one of the most significant off-road races in the world—the Baja 1000. In celebration, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is hosting a tribute dinner, one-day off road show, and summer-long exhibition called Braving Baja, 1,000 Miles to Glory.

Triumph to Sponsor Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy

Wed, 18 Apr 2012

Triumph Motorcycles has signed a sponsorship agreement with Jason DiSalvo‘s riding school. The 2011 Daytona 200 winner rides a Triumph Daytona 675R for the Latus Motors AMA Daytona Sportbike team so it’s no surprise the British manufacturer is sponsoring the Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy. DiSalvo also raced for Triumph-backed BE1 World Supersport team, and though he left the team on rather murky terms, DiSalvo and Triumph enjoy a strong working relationship.
