Vintage 1967 Triumph TR6C Trophy Competition 650 Project - Desert Sled Scrambler Bike is in overall good shape for its age. Engine and frame numbers are matching. Previous owner had the bike since the early 70s. At some point, a set of Cerianni forks were installed accompanied by a Bates headlight. Inside of tank is really clean. Motor runs well with no funny noises, etc. Carb will need to be tuned. The Mighty Max unit will need to be replaced as bike does not start or run without a battery wired in. Oil bag and toolbox mounting tabs have been cut off the rear frame loop in order to install the round oil tank. This would be a great bike to restore back to original or make it into a killer desert sled. I have a clear AZ title Buyer to pay $500 NON REFUNDABLE deposit at the end of the auction. Triumph Tiger Explorer and Trophy SE Recalled for Throttle Position Sensor Error
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Triumph is recalling a combined total of 2,800 units of the Tiger Explorer and Trophy SE due to a problem with the electronic control unit detecting the throttle position. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the ECU’s detection threshold is set too tightly and it lacked proper signal filtering, causing it to prematurely detecting a deviation in the throttle butterfly position. The ECU would then activate the ride-by-wire system’s safety shutdown, closing the throttle butterly valve and cutting the fuel and ignition.

Mon, 26 May 2014Bryan Smith edged out Kenny Coolbeth Jr. by a mere 0.041 seconds to win the AMA Pro Flat Track Experts Twins race at the Springfield Mile. The ten laps of the race saw Smith and his Kawasaki battling for the lead with Coolbeth and Jake Johnson and Jared Mees sitting close behind waiting for an opening.

Thu, 22 Aug 2013Triumph has updated its modern classics lineup for 2014 with minor styling updates for the Bonneville, Thruxton and Scrambler. Otherwise, all three models return unchanged mechanically with some new colors (the colors listed below were announced for the U.K. market; Triumph may have different options for the U.S.) The 2014 Triumph Bonneville receives a new pillion grab rail and a new vinyl seat with improved filler material to improve rider comfort.
