Triumph Rocket III description

2011 TRIUMPH Rocket III Roadster, ROCKET III ROADSTERThe ultimate in big capacity thrills. The worlds ultimate motorcycle Roadster moves out of pure cruiser territory and transcends into that of the ultimate muscle streetfighter with the new Rocket III Roadster. Coming in two mean and moody black color options, metallic Phantom Black or an aggressive Matte Black alternative, the Rocket III Roadster is powered by an uprated version of Triumphs iconic three-cylinder 2,297 cubic-centimeter powerplant. Maximum power has increased over the outgoing Rocket III, with torque up by 15 percent to a mighty 163 foot-pounds. Triumphs sophisticated anti-lock Braking System is fitted as standard to the Rocket III Roadster, the first time that an ABS system has been specified to the Rocket III platform. New ergonomics give the Rocket III Roadster a completely different riding experience from its predecessors while new rear suspension units have been designed to offer a more comfortable and controlled ride than the previous Rocket III, while the main components take on a blacked-out appearance to reinforce the Rocket IIIs bad boy image. Many components have been taken back to black, including the forks, yokes and rear springs. New silencers, one on each side, are the final touches. These have been designed to release more power and torque and optimize the aural experience of the Triumph Rocket III Roadster.

If Carlsberg made race circuits...

Fri, 15 Oct 2010

I should have filed this blog an hour earlier but I became distracted by the human circus that is the Jeremy Kyle show. It’s a shameful admission, I know, but I’m a firm believer in the policy of honesty being the best. Enjoying the luxury of working from home, I was only making myself a bacon sandwich with the TV on in the background when excited cries of ‘Freak, Freak!’ from Mrs MF drew my attention to this (see pic).

Drift 3: The Driftpocalypse!

Wed, 03 Jul 2013

Nick “Apex” Brocha and Ernie “E-Dub” Vigil are back for more motorcycle drifting action in their latest flick, Drift 3: The Driftpocalypse! In case you’re not one of the 30 million people who’ve seen the original Drift 1 or Drift 2, the setup is really quite simple: Apex and E-Dub take their specially prepared drift machines and battle it out with their four-wheeled counterparts. The rest is a tasty treat for the eyes.

New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 – Motorcycle Manufacturers Draw Battle Lines for World’s Second Largest Market

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.
