MCN Review:
Overall Rating
5 out of 5
Triumph's new Street Triple looks just like a Speed Triple but with the engine out of the Daytona 675 -- and it's a revalation. The Street Triple is light, fast, fun, agile, sounds great, stylish, cool and cheap, too. Overnight the new Triumph has made its rivals seem like relics. The Street Triple isn't just the best in its class it's good enough and cheap enough to tempt all but the most performance-obsessed away from their sportsbikes. Not only that the little Triumph is comfortable enough to be an everyday town motorcycle, a first big bike or Sunday morning blaster. Like the new Triumphs of recent times, it seems like the firm from Hinckley once re-written the rule book.

New Stuff: Bridgestone Battlax Racing R10s

Fri, 23 Sep 2011

...stickier than a Weatherspoons floor on a Friday night. Well that’s not exactly an official Bridgestone technical term but no matter which way you look at it the brand new Battlax Racing R10 tyre is a ‘Road legal’ Supersport/Superstock race tyre. It’s used as the control tyre for the Aprillia RRV450 race series.

Triumph’s Wheel Bearing Recall Spreads to US for 2011-2012 Daytona 675, Street Triple and 2012 Thunderbird and Thunderbird Storm

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

Earlier this week, we wrote about a recall in Canada for unapproved wheel bearings for the 2011-2012 Triumph Daytona 675 sportbike and its naked sibling the Street Triple. As expected, a similar recall has now been announced for the U.S., adding the Thunderbird and Thunderbird Storm cruisers to the campaign. The recall also affects the 2011-2012 Triumph Street Triple R but the Daytona 675R is not included in the recall.

Triumph to Sponsor Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy

Wed, 18 Apr 2012

Triumph Motorcycles has signed a sponsorship agreement with Jason DiSalvo‘s riding school. The 2011 Daytona 200 winner rides a Triumph Daytona 675R for the Latus Motors AMA Daytona Sportbike team so it’s no surprise the British manufacturer is sponsoring the Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy. DiSalvo also raced for Triumph-backed BE1 World Supersport team, and though he left the team on rather murky terms, DiSalvo and Triumph enjoy a strong working relationship.
