Triumph Tiger description
For sale is a 1967 Triumph 650 Tiger (TR6R) Complete and original with all matching numbers. The mileage is 15,291 and will go up as bike is ridden frequently. It has a Boyer Bransden ignition, high output stator for electronic ignition, the original amal carb fitted with an over-sized N.O.S. slide, and gold seal Dunlop tires. There has been some minor rider restoration done, including paint that was duplicated using Glasurit bc/cc. The bike also has a lot of the parts that still retain the stove enameling. The trumpet megaphone exhaust is beautifully tuned. The bike has been meticulously maintained, is mechanically sound, and is a great rider. Selling for a friend who travels a lot and wants to sell his collection. I am helping him. The bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. The buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. Thanks for looking... |

Triumph’s Wheel Bearing Recall Spreads to US for 2011-2012 Daytona 675, Street Triple and 2012 Thunderbird and Thunderbird Storm
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Earlier this week, we wrote about a recall in Canada for unapproved wheel bearings for the 2011-2012 Triumph Daytona 675 sportbike and its naked sibling the Street Triple. As expected, a similar recall has now been announced for the U.S., adding the Thunderbird and Thunderbird Storm cruisers to the campaign. The recall also affects the 2011-2012 Triumph Street Triple R but the Daytona 675R is not included in the recall.
Motorcycle Freestyle Rider Ernie Vigil Puts Triumph’s Scrambler Through The Wringer [Video]
Wed, 21 Mar 2012With its on/off-road tires, spoke wheels, high rise dual exhaust, protective fork gators and flat one-piece seat and handlebar, Triumph’s Scrambler evokes notions of a McQueen-esque go anywhere, do anything machine in a modern motorcycle. It’s probably safe to assume few Scrambler owners today put their retrofied rides to the test, seeing just how much abuse the 865cc parallel-Twin-powered Scrambler can take. However, in this Triumph North America video, freestyle rider Ernie Vigil (the video’s editor and co-creator) does what most Scrambler owners wish they were capable of with their new/old Trumpet.
The Fonz Never Really Rode a Motorcycle!
Tue, 02 Jun 2009According to the “King of Cool” himself, “The Fonz” (Henry Winkler) never actually rode any motorcycles during the ten year Happy Days television run. Winkler, never rode a bike in real life either, he has dyslexia, which made it difficult for him to co-ordinate the clutch, throttle and brake. Instead, the bikes (Harley Davidson’s, Triumph’s, BSA’s were used) were mounted on a piece of wood with wheels to make it look like he was riding, even though I am not shocked, I am a little disappointed… You can watch the interview with Winkler, the famous motorcycle jump “The Fonz” made over 14 trashcans and a bonus “Jump the Shark” video after the jump.
