Triumph Tiger description

Ride the bike designed from the ground up to meet the demands of the worlds most discerning motorcycle enthusiasts! The Triumph Tiger 800 ABS.

With a 94-hp 799cc inline triple that features a flat torque curve with smooth delivery, the engine is in a class all of it's own. The bike is designed to ride in any condition the road can throw at it, with it's durable steel chassis, it's 19" and 17" ten-spoke alloy wheels, male slider telescopic front suspension and a rear adjustable monoshock, the bike is ready for anything.

This machine in particular has been upgraded with some tasteful add-ons. The cockpit has been outfitted with a 19.5" manually adjustable Madstad Engineering windshield. Genuine Triumph engine guards have been added to protect the engine and it's surroundings. Wolfman Expedition Dry Saddlebags, that are made in the USA, 100% waterproof and expandable to hold up to 21L each have been mounted on quick release bag guards. A great sounding Arrow Slip-on exhaust has been added. 90 degree valve stems were added at the last tire change for ease of pressure checking. Swingarm sliders have been added for a rear stand.

With just under 7300 mi, the bike has been very well taken care of. It passed our service department's rigorous inspection with flying colors. The Pirelli Scorpion Trail front and rear tires have plenty of tread depth to them, 5mm/8mm. The brake pads are 6mm/4mm. Plenty of life left in each. Oil is fresh and full. No leaks, drips, drops or running issues. The bike has never been down on either side. Nothing is missing or broken.

The OEM manual, extra key and original pouch will be included in the sale.

Illinois buyers will pay sales tax at time of finalization. Some states share a reciprocal tax with Illinois, where the buyer is charged at the time of the sale, please check first to find out if you are liable to sales tax. All sales are subject to a $58.00 documentation fee.

The bike is available for viewing, test ride and pick-up in Woodstock, IL. For sale locally, auction may end at any time.

SAM Christmas has been a professional photographer for the last 3 years and is the man behind Natural Habitats, a collection of photos covering the growing UK custom scene, showing bikes and their builders at home.    Sam's clients include the likes of Honda, Dainese, Google, Polo Jeans and Edwin denim but Natural Habitats is a personal project that took one and a half years to complete. I got to meet Sam when the exhibition opened in Shoreditch on Thursday evening.

2013 Triumph Trophy SE Recalled for Center Stand Problem

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

Triumph is recalling 2013 Trophy SE models because of a risk of fracture in its center stand mount. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the left side center stand lug may fracture, reducing the amount of weight the stand can support. Triumph discovered the problem during a quality control audit.

Motorcycle Drifting, Part 2.

Fri, 13 Jan 2012

Today’s Friday Fun Video comes courtesy of the marketing department at Icon Motorsports. Following the success of their first motorcycle drift video, featuring Nick Brocha on a stretched Kawasaki ZX-10R scorching rubber with Jim Guthrie on a Corvette-powered Mazda RX7, the guys set out to one-up themselves. With this video, I think it’s safe to say “Mission Accomplished.” This time around, Brocha is joined by Ernie Vigil and they’re riding modified Triumph Speed Triples.
