Triumph t100r Daytona 500 description

This is a pretty much fully restored '71 t100r.  VIN GG59028.

Full engine nuts & bolts rebuild including cleaning out the sludge trap. New clutch. Electronic ignition. New upgraded Amal carbs. lithium battery, new tires, oil pump replaced. Only leaks a few drops of oil. New rear shocks. Lots of seals and other trivial things. Valves recently adjusted, oil changed.  This bike kept in heated - air conditioned garage with concrete floor and has never seen rain or salt. I have receipts for all work, mostly engine. Engine and 4 speed transmission tight, starts on first kick. Runs beautifully, I ride it to work frequently. Very reliable. Has turn signals, brake lights all work perfectly including the tach and speedo. I don't know if the mileage on the speedo is accurate.

There is a stain on the rider's left muffler from spilling battery acid. There is a dent in the rider's right muffler from the kick starter. I don't understand exactly why as they're both firmly mounted. (see photo).  Otherwise, there is some external oil on the engine that I shower off now and then. This bike always serviced to the minute by an expert vintage Brit bike mechanic. Runs like a Swiss watch. I've had the bike for about 5 years.

I'm fully aware that no one gets the money from restoration back at sell time. It's for the love of the machine. I'm only entertaining selling as I have two other vintage Triumphs and three is getting to be too much to keep up.  I don't have to sell this bike and I won't entertain any low-balls off line.  If it doesn't sell, I'll keep it forever.

More photos and videos of this machine in action on request.

Pedrosa: most wins, least successful

Wed, 11 May 2011

Should Dani Pedrosa win at Le Mans this coming weekend he will become the most successful rider In the premier-class not to win the coveted title. After his triumph in Estoril the Repsol Honda rider currently finds himself on 13 wins and in joint first and a win, at a circuit that sees him rank as one of riders with the most victories in all classes, would make him a clear leader. Joining Pedrosa at the top of the ranking is Max Biaggi and Randy Mamola, two riders who became associated with the number two.

Glen Richards back with Embassy Racing

Wed, 27 Oct 2010

One of the unsung heroes of the BSB paddock over the past few seasons, has to be 2010 Superstock 1000 runner up Glen Richards. A nasty tumble in at the Brands Hatch opener lead to four DNFs, but once back on track he pushed the dominant BMWs hard, finishing on the podium eight times. While many were trading their grannies to fund new S1000RRs, Richards kept the faith and rode the wheels off his Padgett’s Honda Fireblade.
