Rookie of the Year: Crutchlow vs. Abraham
Mon, 31 Oct 2011The MotoGP championship is all settled with Casey Stoner lifting the title, but there is still an underlining honour yet to be decided at Valencia; the Rookie of the Year between Cal Crutchlow and Karel Abraham (and Moto2 and 125 - but they seem to be safely in the respective hands of Bradl and Terol). Coming into the final race this weekend, Crutchlow leads Abraham by one point in the championship. Both riders have common knowledge of the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, the Briton having raced there in his World Superbike and Supersport years whereas Abraham scored his only Grand Prix victory at Valencia in his final Moto2 race last season.

Details about the new machine are scarce, but if we were to guess judging on the graphic above we’d say it could be loosely based off the Vegas due to its conventional fork and lack of fairings. Tommy Aquino Draws Moto2 Wild Card for Indianapolis Grand Prix
Thu, 21 Jun 2012Former AMA Daytona Sportbike racer Tommy Aquino is coming back to the U.S. to compete as a wild card entry in the Moto2 race at the 2012 Indianapolis Grand Prix. The California native has been racing in Spain’s CEV Moto2 class this season for Canadian-owned FOGI Racing this year.
