Vincent Issue 196 description

the absolute sound
"USA Premier Audio Magazine"
Audiophile magazine
Issue 195

Welcome to my auctions. Need to clear a few magazines that are clogging up the bookshelves. Also note that I try to describe items thoroughly and truthfully so don't be put off with my pedant descriptions. Please read the description before bidding.

The Absolute Sound issue 195 September 2009:- This copy is complete with no missing or loose covers or pages. There is no writing or scribble. There is a newsagent price sticker on the front cover. Used but in very good condition, has been read and then stored in a magazine holder. The Absolute Sound is a USA Audiophile magazine, full of great reviews, editorial and related features. Of special interest to me are the equipment reviews that range from the affordable to the "cost no object' dream machines. A great insightful read.

Please view the scan of actual items and bid accordingly.

Overseas winners please pay with Paypal only and wait for invoice. Express and Registered postage listed as options. If you require postage insurance just ask before paying and I will add it to invoice.

I am happy to combine items to save postage but beware, because of the Australia post rate structure and the weight of these glossy mags, two or three combined often saves little! Feel free to ask before you bid.

Buying 3 or more in one go will result in postage savings that will get passed on to buyer as long as you wait for the invoice.
As an example between 3 and about 10 of these can be sent in a 3 kg satchel for $12.00.

When item arrives and you are happy please consider leaving feedback, I will repay the favour. If there is a problem please communicate before firing off a negative so I have a chance to rectify any issues. Refund offered.

Happy bidding!

Behind the “Bathing Suit” Picture

Fri, 09 Jan 2009

Few motorcycle photographs are as iconic as that of the famous Bonneville “Bathing Suit Picture.” While you have undoubtedly seen this image before, you may not know the story behind it. The scantily clad and debatably crazy rider was a man by the name of Roland “Rollie” Free. The bike, often thought by many to be a Vincent Black Shadow, was in fact a Black Lightning – the fastest Vincent ever to see production.

The New Age Of Custom Motorcycles – Video

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

In a world where modern motorcycles are full of computers, sensors and plastic, there are still those folks who yearn for the days of yore. A time when motorcycles were made of metal and you used a wrench — not a keyboard — to make your bike go faster. Careful and skilled craftsmanship, along with independent thinking, is a mark of pride among these men and their machines, some of whom are featured in the video below by Gestalten.tv.
