1971 Yamaha CS3 twin. This bike starts and rides, looks good, and pulls hard. Includes service manual. This is a rare vintage bike which has been restored with a slick cafe look. Good: The following parts have been replaced with NOS parts (from here): -Tires -Brake shoes -All cables (clutch, throttle, brake, speedo, tach) -All badges. 5 Speed shifts and hits all gears up and down just fine Clutch plates are in great shape, I left them alone (a NOS spare set are included) All lights work Auto Lube system works great. No rust and chrome looks great. The bike obviously was repainted at one time. Bad: Missing right rear turn signal lens There are a couple small dents on the gas tank May need a new front chain sprocket (at low speed the chain goes through a tight spot) Float valves likely need to be replaced or cleaned. (if left sitting with the petcock on sometimes the carbs leak some fuel) Delivery in the Philadelphia area $1/mile. Can arrange shipping to anywhere at buyers cost. Available in Asian markets last August under the names Majesty S and SMax. Sporting a fuel-injected 155cc liquid-cooled four-valve Single, the XC155 inherits the styling of larger Yamaha scooters including the 395cc Majesty that was part of the company’s U.S.

Wed, 26 Sep 2012It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.
