About us: HEINEN's started in 1899 by John Heinen (yes 113+ years ago!) as a farm implement store. Slowly turning to motorsports in the late 60's as a fun way to excape farming. I’ve just got back from Donington Park and the second round of the World Superbike championship. The racing was exciting, going off without a hitch, and the weather was unseasonably kind, but the meeting will be remembered by those in the fairly close knit WSB paddock for reasons other than the temperature or the race results. It’ll be remembered by most, especially those who witnessed it, as the meeting where Max Biaggi finally lost his already feeble grip on reality.

Yamaha Trademarks YZF-R3

Yamaha has filed for a trademark with the European Union for the names “YZF-R3” and “R3“. The trademark applications were filed Jan. 6 and are still under review, but once approved, we should expect Yamaha to introduce a new YZF-R3 soon after.

Preliminary 2012 MotoGP Entry List Released

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has released a preliminary entry list for the 2012 MotoGP World Championship. The provisional list includes 21 riders in the premiere class, including nine classified as Claiming Rule Team entries. Defending MotoGP Champion Casey Stoner will wear the #1 plate for the 2012 season, the first with both CRT entries and the new 1000cc engine displacement cap.
