Yamaha Other description

This should be a great project bike. All original parts and components are present, as seen in the photos. This is a two-owner bike. I bought it from the original purchaser when it was about six months old and have owned it ever sense. Most of the miles are mine. I have not ridden it since 1979, and it has been stored inside ever since.

The bike ran well when I put it away thirty-six years ago. I have recently cleaned the carburetor, but have not had any luck getting it running. I'm sure that it needs a new wiring harness and maybe some gaskets and seals. The engine and transmission are tight; it holds compression and there are no significant leaks from either the engine or transmission. The front forks and rear shocks hold pressure, and the brakes engage.

It needs a paint job, and you'd probably want to replace the rubber later on, but they are both good as they stand right now.

If you're looking for a fun and reliable bike that's simple and cheap to restore, have a look. Last registration was in Pennsylvania, and I have the documents.

You are responsible for shipping/collecting the bike from my home in Minneapolis, Minnesota area.
