Yamaha Other description

1984 Yamaha Xv700 , 1984 Yamaha Virago XV700LC This bike was completely restored 2 years ago, was taken on 4 local rides, then sat in garage for the last year. Bike rides very smoothly, is easy to handle, and has a low seat, great for average/shorter men or for most women. Bike was disassembled down to only the engine in the frame and built back up from there. (few pictures available upon request) Forest green metallic paint on frame and tank (tank by Count's Kustoms). Front shocks, rear swingarm, rear grab handle/supports, clutch/front brake levers all painted to match in gloss black. Exhaust is flat black. Rims polished. Carbs rebuilt during restoration, then cleaned this July. Oil and filter were changed before bike sat. Dr Virago starter shim and band installed in left engine case. Push button start beneath seat. Odometer reads 14,302. List of new parts follows. All parts have the previously mentioned 4 rides on them: Tires - Dunlop 404. Fork seals (inner and outer) with new fork oil. Swingarm bearings and boot. Steering bearings. Re-upholstered seat by West Charleston Upholstery. Fuel lines. Spark plugs. Battery (will probably need to be replaced again due to sitting for 1 year). Clutch cable. Air filter. Handlebar grips. Mirrors. Turn signal stalk and lenses. All fluids (brake, middle/final gear oil). I restored this bike for a girlfriend, then we parted ways and the bike should be sold. You will need to haul the bike as it is not currently running due to sitting. I'm sure it will not take much to get it running, probably just a battery, but my heart's no longer in it. Bike is beautiful, shiny, etc. $2200 open to offers Willing to trade for a Honda Magna V65 (1100cc) running and in good condition. Call/text/email (702) seven four eight - 1574 $2,200.00 7027481574

Rumor Mill: Yamaha To Make R400 and R650

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

Yamaha is set to put into production two new sporty bikes — the R400 and R650 —  according to “Young Machine” a Japanese motorcycle magazine. If true, this would fill a huge void in the manufacturer’s beginner sportbike bike lineup. It would make sense, considering the success of Suzuki’s SV650 (which later morphed into the Gladius and is now the SFV650), Kawasaki’s Ninja 650 (ER-6 in other markets), and even Honda’s CBR500R.
