1987 Yamaha Other on 2040-motos
Holy City, California, United States
Yamaha Other description
I am selling a mint condition 1987 Yamaha YSR50 mini sport bike. 1987 was the first year of production, and this is in the iconic Yamaha red and white color scheme
This bike is in absolutely near mint condition. It is clean enough to eat off and really has no issues to speak of. I am the third owner of the bike and while I hate to sell it, I need to free up the room and some cash. Notes and condition description:
I can ship anywhere in the USA for $425 enclosed and insured. South Florida and Long Island might be a little more, but I can work with you on shipping. Or organize your own. The boring stuff (but please read): Shipping:
I can assist with shipping or you are free to organize your own. I can
currently ship insured (with a $500 deductible) and enclosed anywhere in
the USA for $450. If you live in Maine, Long Island or the Florida keys
there is a surcharge, but outside of that, the shipping rate is $450 to anywhere in the lower 48. I
can and will ship international, but the buyer must coordinate this, as
the process can be cumbersome. I will assist as best as possible and do
have really good access to shippers to the UK, Europe and Australia. I
can also ship to the middle east as well. But please note that all
paperwork will be handled by the buyer. Seller Notes:
Payment:
A $500 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of closing, or a
friendly phone call or clear email on who you are and how you intend to
close the deal. I am very easy to work with, but a little clear
communication goes a long way with me. Paypal is fine for deposit, but
the fee and commission they take is very high. We will take payment
however is easiest for you for to send, as we understand that some
buyers might be out of the country. Cash, bank to bank payment, bank
check, Paypal, WU, Carrier Pidgin - whatever - but as long as it clears
our bank and you are not playing the Nigerian lottery with me, I could
care less how it comes. Just make sure it comes when you say it will come. My bikes are always for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the listing at any time if a local buyer comes forward. In
case you are wondering anything about me as a seller, I have been on
eBay since 1998 (thats over 18 years) and have not one negative
feedback. I am just a nut for older dirt bikes and ATV's from the
1980's. I have a nice collection of bikes that I have built up over 15
years of collecting and messing about. I have several others that I am
selling, including several 85 - 86 250r's and 350x's, as well as some
Fourtrax TRX250r stuff. I am clearing out some bikes to make room for other
projects. |

Stoner explains the tank slapper
Mon, 03 Oct 2011Casey Stoner looked all set to win at Motegi, after translating his pole position into an early race-lead. But coming over the crest on the back straight his bike momentarily lost control in a tank slapper. Regaining composure the championship leader was forced to pump his brakes to get the pads back in place, with the rear-wheel bouncing in the air he ran out of time and space to make the 90 degree right hander and was forced to run into the gravel.
