Yamaha Other description

This posting is for my 2000 Yamaha Venture Millenium M/M Limited Edition

This Yamaha equipped with the comfort, features and classic motorcycle feel of the Venture, the MM Limited, when it was released, received head-turning styling cues for the new millennium. Each model has a trunk-mounted brass serial number plate, as well as MM emblems adorning the speedometer, fuel tank and both saddlebag hinges. Less than 1,500 of these gorgeous machines are slated for worldwide production, 1,000 of which, only, made their way to the USA.

The MM Limited also boasts upgrades that include modifications to the clock and speedometer housing, and an all-new collapsible antenna. The Venture MM Limited is available in Pearl White/Ivory and arrived at dealerships nationwide in December 1999 at a manufacturers, base, suggested retail price of $16,099.

The Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., thought so highly of this model that it backed all Venture MM Limited Editions with a bold premier customer support package which includes a five-year, unlimited mileage warranty and 24-hour roadside assistance. This package also features a 24-hour toll-free service line, 24-hour emergency towing, locksmith service, dealer locator service, trip interruption benefits and a customized trip planning service.

I took this Venture in trade, with just over, only, 43k-miles on it, on a pickup truck I was selling as I desperately, going on 74-years old, wanted to get back into motorcycling touring.

However, once I took it out for ride, after doing the deal, I found out that the bike is too heavy for me....what with my having arthritis in both hips and lower back.

It is because of this, that I am, with great regret, that I am putting it up for sale....as it was the absolute best riding, and comfortable, motorcycle I have ever owned!

I have checked all over the Internet, and CraigsList to get an idea of how I should price it as I want to be as fair as possible to the potential buyer and also recover close to what I should not have allowed for it in trade.

As I post this ad there is an almost identical "M/M" for sale in Morgantown, NC for $8,700.00

The bike is in storage here in my barn in Cumberland, Rogues Island and any serious buyer is welcome to come see it here at my home in Cumberland, RI. However, keep in mind that my price is ROCK SOLID FIRM.

Here then are the Original Specifications right from Yamaha's website!

Yamaha Named Official Motorcycle Of Road America

Thu, 02 May 2013

The economic downturn hit the motorcycle world particularly hard, as many factory-backed road racing efforts closed shop. The decision, while unfortunate, isn’t hard to understand, as racing at the highest levels isn’t cheap, and a factory involvement means added pressure to succeed, which ultimately means spending more money to do so. Through it all, however, Yamaha has remained involved with the sport, fielding factory teams and sponsoring various riding schools and even racetracks.
