2015 Yamaha XC155 Scooter Gets CARB Approval

The Honda PCX150 may be getting some new competition, as  the California Air Resource Board granted an executive order certifying the 155cc Yamaha XC155 scooter. Available in Asian markets last August under the names Majesty S and SMax. Sporting a fuel-injected 155cc liquid-cooled four-valve Single, the XC155 inherits the styling of larger Yamaha scooters including the 395cc Majesty that was part of the company’s U.S.

In a year that saw Yamaha riders James Stewart, Valentino Rossi, and Ben Spies capture the perfect “trifecta” of World Championships, perhaps one of the most memorable moments for race fans around the world, was “King” Kenny Roberts’ return ride at the infamous Indy Mile in late August. Yamaha Majesty Scooter Returns for 2012 Lineup

Yamaha is bringing back the Majesty scooter as part of its 2012 lineup. The 395cc scooter was last offered as a 2010 model and it returns for 2012 with a new Charcoal color. Beyond that, the Majesty is unchanged, with its fuel-injected engine and V-belt CVT.
