Yamaha Other description

2009 Yamaha Zuma 125. Lots of $ spent here. Stretched 8", lowered, fatty rear wheel mounted to Chimera hub From Steady Garage on Michelin Pilot Pure 140/120 tires, LED afterburner taillight with integrated rear signals, LED flush front signals with electronic flasher, dual headlight upgrade with 6K bulbs, custom exhaust with removable baffle, lower handlebars, pod filter, and probably other stuff I'm not thinking of at the moment. All mods are new as this is a fresh build that is ready to ride but could use a few finishing touches like the stretch mount painted, mirrors, and a new bottom put in the underseat storage (you have to cut the original bottom out when you stretch these bikes).  It runs and rides great, I just have too many bikes for the amount of time I have to ride so I'm selling off a couple.  Any other questions just ask.

In an email to SuperbikePlanet, Spies confirmed he has decided not to remain with Yamaha for several unspecified reasons.

Yamaha Pro Am madness, the best one make championship ever?

Sat, 18 Dec 2010

I’m biased of course, but the best one make road race championship has to be the Yamaha RD 350LC Pro Am series. Back in the days when manufacturers had spare cash (1980 to be precise), Mitsui Yamaha organised this televised championship at major British race meetings to promote the recently launched, and now iconic, Yamaha RD350LC. Twenty four riders (twelve established and twelve rookies) were chosen by a panel of experts then given a completely free season of racing with a very generous prize fund thrown in.

Yamaha‘s Jorge Lorenzo topped all riders with a top lap time of 2:01.657 on the first day of pre-season MotoGP testing at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit. With reigning World Champion Casey Stoner ailing and unable to ride, Lorenzo produced the top time as the only racer to lap Sepang in under 2 minutes 2 seconds. Riding the 1000cc Yamaha YZR-M1, Lorenzo topped second-ranked Dani Pedrosa and his Honda RC213V by 0.343 seconds.
