2014 Yamaha® Stryker®

TOTALLY COSTUM - EVEN BEFORE YOU MAKE IT YOUR OWN.

With its raked-out front end and “fists in the wind” riding position, the Stryker® is pure attitude. And with an 80-cubic-inch V-twin, and a beautiful final belt drive, it churns out plenty of low-end torque that gets to the ground in a very satisfying way.

Key Features May Include:

  • The look reinterprets classic custom “chopper” styling for an aggressive feel. High-end looks without the high-end price tag.

  • Gutsy 1304cc, fuel-injected liquid-cooled V-Twin engine churns out the inspired, big-engine feel riders will love.

  • Even with its radically raked out front end, Stryker has the superbly nimble and lightweight handling that choppers and mid-class competitors can only dream about.

  • Low seat height (26.4 inches) allows riders to put both feet on the ground and helps provide this bike’s natural, relaxed and comfortable riding position.

  • The wide 210-series rear tire and chopper-inspired 21-inch front wheel reinforce the muscular styling of the bike.

  • No cheap plastic fenders here—this authentic cruiser has real steel fenders customizers love. Classic belt drive, too.

  • Get started on your own customization with two trim packages in high-quality chrome, or an aggressive looking, blacked out package.

  • The Star® Accessories Catalog is packed full of high-quality parts that invite Star owners to fully express their individuality.

  • 9.5:1 compression ratio and aggressive cam timing produce plenty of power across the board and a distinctive exhaust note.

Not the most sensible of commuters..

    Wed, 04 Apr 2012

This is the white and gold 2012 Yamaha R1. It's also the bike I shall be commuting on for the next 8 months. The crouched riding position and murderous amounts of power may not be ideally suited for the London grind, but with plenty of track action planned I have to make some compromises. There are three fresh colours to choose from.

Day 7 Dakar 2014: Barreda Wins Another

    Mon, 13 Jan 2014

After a day of rest, Sunday’s stage seven was characterized by rain during the night and a new Dakar country – Bolivia. After an early start at 4:30 in the morning, the first 62 miles of the special stage into Bolivia had to be shortened due to rain and poor visibility, low-hanging clouds that prevented the helicopters from taking off creating security issues. The route led across the Andes and towards the Bolivian border.

Mark Miller To Ride For Vercarmoto In 2014 TT Zero

    Tue, 18 Mar 2014

After finishing in fifth place with Chris McGahan in the SES TT Zero in 2013, Italian based Team Vercarmoto, who made their debut in the event in 2012, has announced that American Mark Miller will ride for them in the 2014 race. American Miller is seen as a specialist in the category and boasts a respectable track record in the Isle of Man TT Zero class with the runner up position in 2011 and 3rd place in 2012 to go with his 2010 race victory. The American is also one of only three riders to break the prestigious 100mph mark around the iconic 37.73 mile TT Mountain Course on an electric bike, a feat he achieved in the 2012 race.
