Yamaha Other description

1974 Yamaha 175MX AHRMA / Vintage / CalVMX / Hammer & Tongs -AVDRA

Nice looking stock survivor! I bought with the intention of racing this MX175 in the 250 class. Light like a 125 (190#) with more power than a 125, less weight than a 250.

I bought the bike from a guy in So.Cal who said it had been sitting indoors for years (looks great!) I started buying trick stuff for it, which I will sell to the high bidder if interested.

I bought a brand new JEMCO pipe ($300), New Metzeler M4 rear tire ($80), New Michelin S-12 front tire ($80), New tubes front and back ($30), New Progressive shocks for 250 MX model 1/2" longer ($275).

AND I had Eric Harvey at Nor-Cal Vintage Racing build me the best 34mm DT-1 forks money can buy! They have had the internals hard coated and Race Tech Emulators tricked out (proprietary stuff), with new springs and seals, etc.

BEST FORKS of ANY Vintage bike I have raced!! ($680.00)- Also have the 34mm MX triple clamps and new Renthal 666 bend bars ($80). And a short float bowled 32mm Keihin from a CR 125 ($100)

Almost forgot - NEW Seat cover ($75) (foam is fine).

So, you can see all ready to have a 190/lb. rocket for the 250 expert class.

Then -  I got hurt.  I busted up my hip real good so,...I am DONE!! Since I am done racing,...no need for a reserve.

Bike is for sale stock (even has the oil-injection) -very stock! And you can purchase all the cool stuff with it - but the good parts are NOT PART OF THE BID!!

I would like $1k for the forks, shocks, tires, etc. ALL the stuff seen above

Lorenzo And Rossi Unveil Yamaha MotoGP 2014 Livery

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

Yamaha’s official MotoGP outfit unveiled the team’s official 2014 livery in front of a packed audience in Jakarta, Indonesia. The team’s two factory riders, Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, were on hand to proudly showcase their YZF-M1 motorcycles. As expected, blue, Yamaha’s factory color, plays a major role in the color scheme, but unlike last year where it was the dominant color, it is equally offset by contrasting white swaths on the upper fairing, fuel tank, and throughout the lower fairing.

Think You’re a Smooth Rider? Yamaha’s SmartRiding App Will Prove It

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

Yamaha has released a new app that records and evaluates riding habits. The free Yamaha SmartRiding app (available now in the App store) uses the Apple devices sensors to measure basic telemetry to evaluate how smoothly you handle curves. The app requires the device to be firmly fixed to the motorcycle in either a vertical or horizontal arrangement (the app is compatible with iPhones, iPods and iPads, though I’m not sure how many people will mount a tablet to their motorcycle).
