Yamaha Road Star description

Very nice 1999 Yamaha Roadstar Silverado, 34th one into the USA. I have owned it since new and it has been a fantastic bike. Ridden regularly and always garage kept. 44,000 miles. Very well maintained. I just installed NEW metzler marathon front and rear tires and a new windshield and new windshield bag.
Fresh oil change and ready to go.

Extras: Those bags are Heritage classics modified with custom mounts to fit the Roadstar,  they are larger and look better than the stock Yamaha bags. The highway bar and pegs are also HD origin. The bike is jetted to run the Arlen Ness "big sucker" air kit. It runs flawlessly. Last long ride I got 50mpg. Those pipes are Roadhouse Classic Duals (with crossover) and offer a deep rumble sound.  The Steibel air horn is super loud and I am including a removable backrest (not pictured) and the factory shop manual.  The transmission recall was done by a local Yamaha shop nine years ago, no issues but yamaha had kept bugging me about it so I capitulated and got it done.  J&E HC pistons and dyna 2000 ignition.

No trades.  Cash or certified check.

AMA Supercross: 2012 New Orleans Results

Mon, 16 Apr 2012

Ryan Villopoto has already secured the 2012 AMA Supercross Championship but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to let up and take it easy over the remainder of the season. The Monster Energy Kawasaki racer clinched his second consecutive title two weeks ago in Houston, Texas, but he continued his dominance in AMA Supercross’ return to New Orleans’ Superdome, taking the holeshot and leading all 20 laps for his ninth win of the season in 14 rounds. The New Orleans round may have lacked some big names currently nursing injuries such as Ryan Dungey, James Stewart and Chad Reed, but Villopoto provided a star effort in the first AMA Supercross race in the city since 2009.

The U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have launched a new free online tool that should make it easier for consumers to inspect their vehicles’ safety recall histories.
