Surrounded by lustrous onyx lacquer, this bike makes a statement wherever it goes. It sports all the new Road Star features, including redesigned valve system, camshafts, rocker arms, air induction system, cooling fins and a beefed up clutch. Also, there's an all-new lightweight and high-strength final drive belt for long life, quiet operation and better accelration. All-new brakes featuring dual 298mm front disc brakes and 320mm single disc rear brake for strong stopping power. Short and long range rider comfort is supreme thanks to wide, swept-back, 1"-diameter, rubber-mounted handlebars, restyled touring rider seat that's 40mm wider, a reshaped passenger seat and full-size floating-type rider floorboards with new rubber inserts. Yamaha Quitting World Superbike Racing After 2011 Season
Mon, 01 Aug 2011Yamaha announced it is withdrawing its factory World Superbike Championship race team following the end of the 2011 season. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, just a week after reports the team had re-signed racer Marco Melandri for the 2012 season. On the other hand, the team has struggled to find a title sponsor this season, as has Yamaha’s MotoGP team.

New AMA Pro SuperBike Final Qualifying Procedure To Be Implemented At Road America
Tue, 20 May 2014AMA Pro Racing is taking a page out of the playbook of the top racing series’ in the world and changing the qualifying format for AMA Pro SuperBike and breaking it up into three stages. This new format will debut later this month when AMA Pro Road Racing takes to the 4.05-mile track at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis., for the Subway SuperBike Doubleheader on May 30 – June 1, 2014. All AMA Pro SuperBike competitors will participate in Qualifying 1 and 2.
