Yamaha Royal Star description

For Sale by Owner - Title in Hand.
** LOW RESERVE **

Beautiful motorcycle in excellent condition that turns heads. When people find out the age they usually can't believe it's as old as it is. Runs very well, ridden often and carefully. Never sits in the rain uncovered.

I have decided that, although I thoroughly enjoy riding, that, as a father of 6 (5 are 13 and younger), it's not the most responsible thing that I should be doing at this point in my life. People are just crazy and have no regard for bikers, unfortunately. So for this reason, I've decided to hang up my helmet until all my kids are raised and on their own. More information about the bike follows, but also coming with the sale will be a riding jacket (black, XL), the 1/2 helmet I use (Large), a nice Yamaha motorcycle cover and I'll throw in a motorcycle battery charger I bought for it, but will no longer need. Also included will be a full set of rain gear (full body, tops and bottoms) as well as cold weather gloves, inserts and warm weather gloves. Also multiple balaclavas and some cool face masks.

The proven 1300 V4 motor (borrowed from the V-Max) runs perfectly. Very smooth ride with tons of power. No smoke, noises or leaks. Clutch and transmission perform perfectly with smooth tight shifting and no lash or looseness. Excellent paint - still shines with no fading. Paint, chrome and plastic are all good to very good. Normal dulling of the tour pack chrome and a little flaking of the chrome on the dash near the ignition switch surround. Brand new front tire and rear tire replaced August 2015. Very nice factory cruise control. Seat has no wear or tear - very comfortable. Very nice sound system with CB Radio and handlebar mounted controls. CD changer in the left bag.

Bike was professionally maintained and serviced. Specifics of servicing completed include:

- NEWLY INSPECTED! INSPECTION GOOD THROUGH JUNE 2017!
- Full servicing fluids - June 15, 2016

- Rebuilt carbs in March 2015.

My Cadburys Boost YZF 750 comes back to life.

Sat, 01 Sep 2012

After winning my 3rd BSB title in 1998, as an end of season bonus, Yamaha UK kindly handed over my beloved Cadburys Boost YZF 750. There were three of these ex factory bikes in Rob Mac’s team; one went to me, the big man still has one, and the third was sold for a sum that was never disclosed. I had three cracking years on this special machine battling against team mates Whitham, Walker and Hislop and breaking most lap records along the way. The hard charging Bayliss, Reynolds and Rymer were also thrown into the mix on occasions just to make life even more interesting.

Colin Edwards Announces Retirement At End Of Season

Colin Edwards has announced he will retire at the conclusion of the 2014 MotoGP season. The announcement came during the pre-event press conference ahead of this weekend’s Austin MotoGP race — Edwards’ home round. The two-time World Superbike champion cited a lack of progress from winter testing as one reason for the decision.

Charges Laid Against Suspect for 185 mph Yamaha R1 YouTube Video

Fri, 13 Jul 2012

Remember that video on YouTube about the rider going 185 mph on a highway in Canada? The video went viral and eventually led to the seizure of a Yamaha R1 and $1,449 (Canadian) in traffic tickets issued to its owner. In April, police in Saanich, British Columbia believed they had enough evidence to seize the R1 and issued tickets to the registered owner for speeding, operating without due care and attention, and operating without insurance.
