Yamaha accessory spoke wheels (wider version on rear), TKC80 tires, Progressive Suspension shocks and fork springs, Hageman subframe and seat combo, custom built racks. Hageman skid plate, V&H Exhaust (sounds wicked!), Kuryakyn intake, Burly Brand bars, Built in USB port, Dynojet fuel controller, Burly Brand, waxed canvas luggage and Burly moto pegs. Tank was stripped to raw metal and clear powder coated. Bike is fun as hell to ride and never ceases to draw a crowd. Low mileage, well taken care of machine. None other like it! Shane Turpin on the 848 at Cadwell

Turpin is an experienced AMA rider and raced as a wildcard at this year’s World Superbike event at Miller Motorsports Park on board a Boulder Motor Sports prepared 1198RS. The decision, while unfortunate, isn’t hard to understand, as racing at the highest levels isn’t cheap, and a factory involvement means added pressure to succeed, which ultimately means spending more money to do so. Through it all, however, Yamaha has remained involved with the sport, fielding factory teams and sponsoring various riding schools and even racetracks.
