For sale is a 2001 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic cruiser.
I'll start with the low points. The bike has been dropped a few times and is scratched and dented as a result, the low price reflects this. She still runs and drives fine. Would make a great first bike for someone to learn on since its already well broken in and doesn't have enough engine to jump out from under ya. Bike has around 22,500 miles on it as I am still riding it some to keep her fit. Now the good. As you can see from the pictures the bike has a windshield, bags, and forward controls. In the past 2 years the bike has got new tires (still 2/3 treed) a windshield bag and a mustang seat for the driver and passenger. The battery was replaced 2 years ago and has been on a maintainer. The bike starts right up every time. The carburetors have also been rejeted. The bike gets in the upper 40s mpg on back roads (bout 38 on the interstate). It is pretty loud, the baffles in the exhaust have been drilled out resulting in a good sound cursing and idling but some backfiring when slowing down and are pretty loud at higher rpms. So it's a bit bruised, and loud but it's a comfortable smaller cruiser that's at home on the back roads and would make a great cheap starter bike for someone. Comes with 2 keys, tool kit, and the manual. In front of a record crowd of 46,896, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto raced to his second-consecutive AMA Supercross victory, an FIM World Championship, 450SX Class Main Event win at O.co Coliseum in Oakland, CA on Saturday night. Rockstar Energy Racing’s Davi Millsaps finished in second, and Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey followed in third.
