Yamaha V Star description

I'm selling this 2001 Yamaha VStar 650CC. Clean title and registration is paid till July of 2017. It has only 15360 miles as of today but I still ride it around so it may be a little more once it sells. I've only had this bike for a few months but it rides pretty nice. It has a Vance & Hines 2 in 2 aftermarket pipe that is throaty and mean. For a 650, it sounds like a beast! If you know about these cruisers then you know how awesome they are. I've taken it up the coast to Santa Barbara and back with no problems and the Mustang aftermarket seat makes for a comfortable ride. There are some blemishes and dings on it but nothing terrible for a 15year old bike. This is a great bike for beginners, it has an easy clutch and very low seat height. I have a helmet I'm throwing in and the cloth saddle bags that are in the pictures. I've fixed a few things since I've got it but my buddy just sold me his bike and I have to get rid of this one. I'm letting it go for cheap so hit me up with some respectable offers. No trades or low balls please. If you want to test ride have cash on hand. You crash it you bought it.  I am also listing this locally so auction may end early.

If you send me a message I can send you a video of it starting up cold in the morning.

Yamaha Confirms Leaning Multi-Wheeler for 2014 – Will the Tesseract Concept Finally Become Reality?

Wed, 03 Jul 2013

Yamaha confirmed it plans to introduce a new Leaning Multi-Wheeler (LMW) vehicle for 2014. An accompanying image of a test unit in camouflage reveals two closely-aligned front wheels beneath a broad fairing. The new model will be a three-wheeler similar to Piaggio‘s MP3 scooter instead of the four wheels like the Tesseract concept (pictured further below) first introduced at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show.

50th Anniversary Yamaha Special Edition R1? Yes Please!

Fri, 09 Sep 2011

When Yamaha unveiled its 50th anniversary edition red and white livery for its M1 MotoGP machines in May, one question came immediately to mind: when can we get the special edition R1? The red and white design was created to celebrate Yamaha‘s 50th year in Grand Prix racing. Yamaha factory racers Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies debuted the livery at the Assen round in June, which saw the American Spies nab his first a career MotoGP win.

In a year that saw Yamaha riders James Stewart, Valentino Rossi, and Ben Spies capture the perfect “trifecta” of World Championships, perhaps one of the most memorable moments for race fans around the world, was “King” Kenny Roberts’ return ride at the infamous Indy Mile in late August. As a year end surprise, Yamaha is pleased to offer race fans around the world a video of this monumental occasion. The video features both archival footage from Kenny’s victory in 1975 as well as the events surrounding this recent monumental motorcycling event.
