French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011

Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Monster Yamaha Tech3 Garage Catches Fire at Circuit of the Americas

The Tech3 MotoGP team put the Circuit of the Americas‘ emergency systems to the test after a small fire broke out in the team’s garage. Tech3 says the fire should not affect its participation in this weekend’s Grand Prix of the Americas race. The fire, which ignited some time overnight, was quickly doused by COTA‘s sprinkler system.

Yamaha Reports Q3 2012 Results

Yamaha‘s North American sales were up over the first nine months of 2012, representing the lone bright spot in the company’s third quarter report. North American consumers purchased 51,000 Yamaha motorcycles (including scooters and ATVs), for a 13.3% increase from the 45,000 units sold in the opening nine months of 2011. North American sales translated into 30.7 million yen (US$382 million) in revenue for Yamaha, a 15.0% increase from the first three quarters of 2011.
