2005 Yamaha V Star Classic, A step up from a lightweight cruiser, but more nimble than the heavyweights, the V-Star 650 Classic is a perfect choice for those interested in a comfortable cruiser for light touring, commuting, and just exploring back country roads. Powered by a 649cc air-cooled v-twin paired with a 5-speed transmission with shaft final drive, the V-Star 650 is a low maintenance, reliable ride with a relaxed riding position. The 650 Classic (compared with the 650 Custom) features longer flared fenders, rider floorboards, and wide pull-back handlebars. This particular 650 Classic is in stock condition, with just over 16,000 miles on the odometer. It also recently had a full service performed right here in the award-winning Martin Motorsports Service Department, so you can ride with confidence in your new machine. There are a few cosmetic blemishes here and there, such as a scratch on the front and rear fenders and a few on the exhaust, and some pitting on the forks and front brake fluid reservoir (all shown in photos). However, this bike is mechanically sound and runs excellent! Canadian Speeder’s Yamaha R1 Seen in Now-Famous YouTube Video Sold in Auction
Wed, 22 Aug 2012The Vancouver Sun is reporting on its website today that the Yamaha R1 made famous in a YouTube video featuring the rider speeding along the Trans-Canada Highway was sold recently for $4,651 in an online auction. According to the Sun the auction was conducted by B.C.’s Civil Forfeiture Office, which can seize property believed to have been used for unlawful activity. The winning bidder, 4x4albert, beat more than 70 bids to claim the 2006 R1.
