Yamaha XS description

XS750SF   From the pictures you can see she's in nice shape.  The tank has some scratches but other than that there isn't much to tinker with.  I'll be honest, I don't really want to sell her but I cant ride 4 bikes at once.  down side, she needs a front tire.  up side, I just put in a new AGM battery, rebuilt the pet cocks and the carbs then spent 3 hundred bucks having them professionally, checked and sync'd.  The forks were rebuilt in 09. She is completely stock with the exception of the highway bars (they are Yamaha bars though) and the seat.  The seat pan is original but the previous owner, Andy, had it redone. I have had her since 08 and she has been garage kept during that time, as far as I know, she always has been. She has no electrical problems, I did have to replace a couple of the fuse holders with blade type fuses.  Everything works as it should.  The badges have been upgraded, the chrome is nice. The more I type the more I wonder why I am selling her.

Yamaha Introduces 2012 V Star 950 and V Star Tourer

Wed, 08 Jun 2011

Yamaha revealed the first 2012 models from its Star Motorcycles brand of cruisers, the V Star 950 and V Star 950 Tourer. The 2012 V Star 950 (and the more touring-oriented V Star 950 Tourer) is powered by a fuel-injected air-cooled 942cc 60 degree V-Twin engine with a five-speed transmission. Yamaha estimates fuel economy at 47 mpg from the 4.5 gallon tank.

Ienatsch, Hill, Russell, Bestwick To Give Speech At Yale Today

Thu, 30 Jan 2014

In what might be considered the most shocking news of 2014 so far, Nick Ienatsch and Ken Hill are going to Yale. While some might think the Chief and Lead instructors at the newly revamped Yamaha Champions Riding School are getting in over their heads, the two are at Yale as lead presenters for “Excellence In Motion: What Motorcycle Racing Can Teach Us About Success,” which begins at 4pm (local time) today.  When put into context, their appearance at one of the nation’s top schools is understandable. Each has had their fair share of success aboard motorcycles, and they will be joined by two more champions on two-wheels, five-time Daytona 200 winner and 1993 World Superbike Champion Scott Russell, and Jamie Bestwick, an avid motorcyclist and winner of eight consecutive X-Games BMX Vert gold medals.

This Is What Comes Before The Yamaha PW50

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

Kids really do have it good these days. Case in point is this super stylish motocross-themed push bicycle found in the Yamaha Europe catalog. Parents out there are probably well aware of these bikes without pedals, but as someone without kids this is a new discovery for me.
