PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AD! READ THE ENTIRE AD!!! Thank you. 1981 XS650. It needs a minor cleaning and buffing from sitting in the garage. Will need minor little things. Does not leak. Always stored inside. I bought this to make a Cafe' Racer but just don't have the time right now. I have not run this one in a couple of years. It has all the gears and great compression. She will need a new battery, minor carb clean etc from sitting. Perfect for someone who wants a beautiful original or a Cafe base to start from. I AM NOT GIVING IT AWAY SO FORGET THE STUPID LOWBALL OFFERS. I will just part it out. I am not getting her going. If I had the time for that i'd cafe' it and ride it myself or sell it for double the price atleast. This will be a super easy project for anyone. Official 2014 MotoGP Entry List Released
Fri, 28 Feb 2014The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released the official entry list for the 2014 MotoGP Championship including 23 riders representing 13 teams. The final entry list also lists each rider’s status as either a Open or Factory class rider. The eight Factory riders are allowed to use their teams’ own proprietary ECU software but are otherwise limited by a freeze on engine development, a limit of five engines for the whole season and just 5.3 gallons of fuel per race.
Yamaha Acquires Stake in KYB’s Motorcycle Suspension Business
Tue, 05 Feb 2013KYB is separating its motorcycle suspension business from its other operations, and forming a new company with Yamaha. The two companies will form a joint venture to be known as KYB Motorcycle Suspension Co., Ltd., offering motorcycle suspension components to OEMs including Yamaha. Yamaha will acquire a 33.4% stake in KYB Motorcycle Suspension Co.
The Pursuit of Yamaha-ness – A Message from Yamaha’s CEO
Thu, 10 Jan 2013Yamaha must “pursue true Yamaha-ness and break out of our old norms” if it hopes to increase profitability, says Hiroyuki Yanagi, the company’s president and chief executive officer. In an open letter released by Yamaha, Yanagi discussed what his company needed to do in order to reach its goal of producing 12 million units this year and collecting 2 trillion yen (US$22.5 billion) in sales. Yanagi’s message offered little in specific details but provided a glimpse of Yamaha’s overall strategy for the next few years.
