1976 Yamaha YZ125X Winner of 2005 & 2006 AHRMA National Championships Formerly owned by the late Mike Owens, who used it to win the 2005-06 AHRMA Historic 125cc Expert Championships in Post-Vintage Motocross, updated with aluminum swingarm & porcupine cylinder head. After its title-winning days, the bike went on static display in Owens' extensive collection of vintage dirt bikes, while he turned his attention to the Legends & Heroes Motocross Museum. In race-prepped condition, with engine overhaul by Boyko Racing and suspension rebuild by DeWayne Jones, the YZ has been in a private collection since Owens' passing in 2015, and remains unridden. It should need only a simple recommissioning to be track-ready once more. Mileage is obviously low, though the exact amount is unknown. The bike is sold on a bill of sale, no title. Listed in a separate auction is Owens' championship-winning 1979 YZ400. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. Tue, 20 Jul 2010RANDY de Puniet may well have just been ejected from his LCR Honda RC212V MotoGP racer during qualifying for Sunday's Sachsenring GP but that ain't gonna stop him from bringing one of the company perks with him to Dr Costa's on-circuit surgery. The Frenchman crashed during qualifying after hitting oil and water spilled on track by Jorge Lorenzo's Fiat Yamaha, after it spewed its guts along almost the entire length of the start finished straight. Following the crash De Puniet was whisked away on a stretcher with a suspected broken foot.
